About Slainte Ltd
This is the real purpose of work and what gets us out of our bed in the morning - making the world a better place for the next generation. Meet Ella-Jane, the latest member of the Slater family and the first grandchild for Jane and Sandy, born on 5th March 2009 to Sarah-Louise.
Sandy Slater started the company in 1991, at that time using his 16 years experience in Sport and Leisure to provide both consultancy and facility management services. By 1997 this had broadened into general business advice, and diversified into providing a range of SVQ and other training services via a sister company. Changes in the market resulted in focusing on providing professional services and this is the core of the company’s work. These include not only business and community advice services, but also feasibility studies, project appraisal, marketing plans and evaluations. Sandy works in the heart of the beautiful Trossachs.
Sandy went back to University in 1995, to Glasgow University Business School to study a Master of Business Administration (MBA), graduating in 1998. He has a Diploma in Business Advice and Counselling with an endorsement for advising community organisations. He is a member of the Institute of Business Consulting and recently undertook training in Social Return on Investment (November 2009).
Slainte is a Limited Company registered with Companies House in Edinburgh, Scotland (Company Number 131925). The sole Director is Sandy Slater.
Business Planning and Feasibility Studies
This is a core area of Slainte business - helping a client prove that their idea will actually work. This involves identifying and quantifying the market; explaining in detail how the business will work; showing how the start-up costs will be met and preparing financial forecasts demonstrating that it is viable and sustainable. For both social enterprises and private businesses, the key issues are the same and Slainte will help turn your idea into reality.
Sandy also runs Wild Biking Scotland - guided mountain bike experiences in the Trossachs.
